Senior Railcard - get ⅓ off your rail tickets

For everyone aged 60 and over

The Senior Railcard is for anyone aged 60 or over and allows ⅓ discount on Anytime, Off-Peak and Advance rail tickets in both standard class and first class. It is valid for either one year or three years and can be bought online, the one year railcard costs £30 and the three year railcard costs £70.

You can purchase or renew your Railcard online and it doesn’t just save you money on travel, it also saves you money with Railcard partners too – on days out, museums, hotels and more.

Check the Journey Planner and see just how much you'll save with your Senior Railcard.

Discounts also apply to Caledonian Sleeper services including sleeper berths, plusbus, many rover and ranger tickets, Stansted Express, Gatwick Express, Heathrow Express and Travelcards (restrictions apply).

The Railcard costs just £30. So after a couple of trips, the card will have paid for itself, and over a year you could save an average of £120*
