This is a one-day multi-zonal ticket giving unlimited travel on both buses and rail covering eight separate areas in north Wales defined by Angelsey, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd (2 zones), Wrexham & Chester combined and the route between Machynlleth and Aberystwyth.

North Wales Rover ticket

The ticket also includes bus services within the respective zones. Routes shown outside zonal boundaries are included in the availability for the adjacent zone.

The Ffestiniog & Welsh highland Railway may (or may not) offer discounts, you will need to contact them for details.

There are three types of tickets available: "2 consecutive zones"; "3 consecutive zones" and "all the zones", the latter also includes rail services between Gobowen, Shrewsbury and Machynlleth.

The "All Zones" North Wales Rover allows travel between Chester and Holyhead on the North Wales coast line and between Bidston, Shotton and Wrexham as well as Chester and Shrewsbury.

It includes the Cambrian and the Cambrian Coast lines from Shrewsbury to Machynlleth, Pwllheli and Aberystwyth plus the Llandudno and Blaneau Ffestiniog branches.

It allows you to easily visit seven of the Welsh narrow gauge railways: the Vale of Rheidol at Aberystwyth, the Talyllyn at Tywyn, the Fairbourne by the Mawddach estuary, the Welshpool & Llanfair at Welshpool and the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Heritage railways at Porthmadog.
