The Heart of England Rover allows travel between Crewe and Rugby on the West Coast Main Line and between Derby, Nottingham and Leicester on the Midland Main Line.

Across the country you can travel from Chester to Nottingham via Crewe, Stoke-on-Trent and Derby and from Derby to Gloucester via Birmingham as well as from Worcester to Oxford via Moreton-in-Marsh and Chester to Hereford via Wrexham and Shrewsbury.

Branch lines included are Matlock, Stourbridge Town, Redditch and Stratford-upon-Avon.

Some Avanti West Coast station TVMs for example Crewe, now sell local rangers and rovers.

LNER TVMs at Doncaster, Edinburgh, London Kings Cross, Newcastle and York also sell them.

A number of PTE areas sell local rangers from TVMs in their area e.g. South Yorkshire, Strathclyde and West Midlands
