The Bittern Line Ranger allows travel on the branch line between the city of Norwich and the coastal towns of Sheringham and Cromer in Norfolk.

At Sheringham is the heritage North Norfolk Railway which is just a minute's walk from the station.

Some Avanti West Coast station TVMs for example Crewe, now sell local rangers and rovers.

A number of PTE areas sell local rangers from TVMs in their area e.g. South Yorkshire, Strathclyde and West Midlands
